Heat-Reflective Aluminized Jackets

Often used in steel mills and glass plants, aluminized clothing reflects radiant heat and protects against sparks. These jackets have no pockets so they won’t trap hot particles. They have snaps down the front and on the cuffs. A flap down the front has pull tabs to allow for quick removal.
Rayon provides good radiant-heat protection as well as moderate spark protection and protection against molten metal splashes.
Kevlar aramid/fiberglass blend combines good heat resistance with excellent abrasion and cut resistance, in addition to offering protection against molten metal splashes.
Kevlar aramid/Melamine blend is lighter than other Kevlar blends. It provides excellent heat and abrasion resistance without weighing you down.
Carbon/Kevlar aramid blend is a heavyweight fabric that lasts longer than other Kevlar blends. It holds up in higher temperatures than other materials while providing excellent abrasion and cut resistance. It provides protection against molten metal splashes.
When measuring chest size, measure around the fullest part of your chest. Jackets are oversized to fit over work clothes; take all measurements over any clothing you expect to wear under the jacket.

Welding Jackets

Protect your arms and torso when welding.
Cotton is treated to protect against low radiant heat and minor sparks. Jackets with a 12 oz. material weight provide better durability and protection. They have one inside pocket.
Cotton and leather protects against low radiant heat with added cut protection and heat resistance on the sleeves. These jackets have a pocket on each sleeve, as well as an inside pocket.
Cotton and cellulose/aramid protects your arms from arc flashes and cuts, while the cotton torso defends against low radiant heat and sparks. The sleeves are rated ANSI Level 1 for light protection against cuts and punctures. They also meet personal protection equipment (PPE) Category 2 and NFPA 70E standards for protection against electrical arc flashes. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace.
Leather protects against radiant heat, flames, and welding sparks. It’s flexible and resists cuts and abrasion better than cotton. Brown leather jackets are designed with small vents under the arms and along the upper back to increase air circulation and cool you off. They have a pocket on each sleeve, as well as an inside pocket. Gray leather jackets have a higher material weight than brown leather jackets to provide better durability and protection.
Acrylic/Buna-N blend protects against radiant heat, flames, and welding sparks while providing superior breathability to leather. These jackets have two chest pockets.
Cotton/nylon blend is soft, lightweight, and protects against low radiant heat and sparks. These jackets have a more contoured and less rigid fit than men’s jackets. For extra protection, they have a hook and loop neck closure. Two waist pockets give you spots to store items.
When measuring chest size, measure around the fullest part of your chest. Take all measurements over any clothing you expect to wear under these jackets.

Welding Coats

These coats extend past your knees for added coverage. They are made of cotton and protect against low radiant heat and minor sparks.
When measuring chest size, measure around the fullest part of your chest. Take all measurements over any clothing you expect to wear under these coats.
High-Visibility Welding Jackets

Bright colors make it easy to spot you in low-visibility areas. These jackets protect against flames and welding sparks. They snap closed and have one inside pocket.
When measuring chest size, measure around the fullest part of your chest. Take all measurements over any clothing you expect to wear under these jackets.
Orange jackets don’t have reflective stripes that would cause a glare from sparks as you're welding.
Green jackets have a silver stripe that reflects light, so you stand out better in poorly lit places than with orange jackets. Made of 12 oz. cotton—similar in thickness to a canvas tarp—these jackets can withstand more wear than orange jackets. They meet NFPA 70E standards for protection against electrical arc flashes for personal protection equipment (PPE) category 2. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace, and then select all required clothing and personal protective equipment to meet the minimum arc rating. Arc rating measures a garment’s ability to insulate the wearer from burns; the higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance.

Molten-Metal Protection Coats

Less bulky and more breathable than aluminized coats, these fabric coats protect you from heat and splashes of molten metal. Since they're not reflective, they're best for areas where radiant heat isn't a concern. A blend of cellulose, wool, and nylon makes these coats inherently flame resistant, so they'll continue to protect you after repeat washing. Store tools in an inside pocket to keep them safe from splashes. Close with snaps on the front and the cuffs.

Welding Clothing Kits

Protect your torso, hands, and eyes from sparks, spatter, and heat in welding areas. Each of these kits come with basic safety gear, common welding accessories, and a four-gallon bucket for easy gear transport. The included jacket protects against low radiant heat, with leather sleeves for added heat protection and cut resistance. Three pairs of gloves—one for TIG welding, one for stick welding, and one pair of standard leather work gloves—ensure you have the hand protection you need. These kits also come with two pairs of glasses: shaded ones to guard from harmful infrared light, plus a pair of standard safety glasses.
