Frequently called electrical-grade Garolite, this Garolite G-9 is strong, electrically insulating, and arc resistant in dry environments. In addition to having good arc resistance in dry environments, these Garolite G-9 sheets are strong and electrically insulating. Garolite G-9 is frequently called electrical-grade Garolite, melamine-grade industrial laminate, phenolic, and Bakelite. It's made of a melamine resin with fiberglass fabric reinforcement. Use it to fabricate arc barriers, switchboard panels, and other electrical components.

Arc-Resistant Garolite G-9 Angles
- Color: Gray
- Maximum Temperature: 280° F
- Tensile Strength: 30,000-37,000 psi (Excellent)
- Impact Strength: 5.5-7.0 ft.-lbs./in. (Excellent)
- Hardness: Rockwell M120 (Extra Hard)
- For Use Outdoors: Yes
- Specifications Met: UL 94 V-0
Machine these angles into arc barriers, switch mounts, and components for circuit breakers and electrical equipment. They resist carrying electric currents in dry or humid areas, even when exposed to sudden electric discharge. Strong, they’re also good for making terminal boards and other structural parts. They won’t crack if hit, and they resist breaking while carrying heavy loads. Meets UL 94 V-0 for flame retardance.
Garolite G-9 is also known as electrical-grade Garolite, melamine-grade industrial laminate, phenolic, and Bakelite.
