Food Industry Air Tool Oil

For air-powered tools in food-processing and preparation areas, this oil prevents corrosion and has wear-resistant and extreme-pressure properties. It absorbs water to reduce condensation and prevent buildup.
Viscosity is the thickness of an oil. The higher the grade, the thicker the oil, and the less it flows.
Oil that is NSF registered H1 and oil that meets FDA 21 CFR 178.3570 are rated for incidental contact with food.
Mineral oil is derived from petroleum. Vegetable oil is slicker than mineral oil but also breaks down more quickly.

Food Industry Vacuum Pump Oil

For use in food-processing and preparation areas, this oil is NSF registered H1 for incidental food contact. It’s slow to evaporate for long-lasting lubrication in vacuum pumps.
Viscosity is the thickness of an oil. The higher the grade, the thicker the oil, and the less it flows.
Food Industry Grease

Use this grease in food-processing and preparation areas.
NLGI viscosity grade is a rating of a grease's consistency. NLGI 1 is about the consistency of tomato paste. NLGI 2 is about the consistency of peanut butter.
Grease that is NSF registered H1 and grease that meets FDA 21 CFR 178.3570 are rated for incidental contact with food.
Mineral-oil-based grease, derived from petroleum, is usually more economical than synthetic-oil-based grease. Synthetic-oil-based grease lasts longer than mineral-oil-based grease and generally withstands a wider range of temperatures. Grease with aluminum thickener has good moisture resistance and excellent oxidation resistance. Grease with silica thickener has excellent heat and moisture resistance and good oxidation resistance. Grease with calcium sulfonate thickener has good heat resistance and excellent moisture and oxidation resistance. Grease with silicone thickener has excellent heat and moisture resistance and good oxidation resistance.
Grease with PTFE has small particles of PTFE that reduce friction and help the grease maintain its lubricity.
Grease lubricates most efficiently within the listed temperature range. Melting temperature is the point at which grease will fail and run out of equipment, leaving it to run dry. Nonmelting grease can be used at temperatures above the maximum temperature briefly, but then will break down more quickly.
Molykote withstands high loads and has good wear resistance.
