Easy-to-Remove Heat-Shrink Tubing

- Material: Fluoropolymer Plastic
- Shrink Ratio: See Table
- Dielectric Strength: 2,000 V/mil
- Shrink Temperature: 420° F
- Maximum Temperature: 390 °F
Access connections more easily than with standard heat-shrink tubing. Make a small slit in this tubing to peel it away. Made of fluoropolymer, it resists chemicals and withstands temperatures up to 390° F.
Dielectric strength is the maximum voltage a material can handle before it starts to breakdown.
High-Temperature Moisture-Seal Heat-Shrink Tubing

- Material: PTFE Plastic
- Shrink Ratio: See Table
- Dielectric Strength: 455 V/mil
- Shrink Temperature: 660° F
- Temperature Range: -450° to 450° F
Create a moisture-resistant seal in applications where temperatures reach up to 450° F. The inner lining melts when the tubing is heated and bonds to the underlying surface, creating a water-resistant seal. Made of PTFE, it also resists abrasion and chemicals. Choose tubing with a larger shrink ratio to create a tight seal over irregularly shaped objects.
Dielectric strength is the maximum voltage a material can handle before it starts to breakdown.

High-Strength Heat-Shrink Tubing

With excellent durability and chemical resistance, this tubing withstands demanding use.
PVDF tubing resists cuts from being dragged over rough surfaces, along with tears from stretching or flexing. It has an additive that makes it flame retardant, so it resists combustion and minimizes the spread of flames. FEP tubing is more chemical resistant than PVDF tubing, and withstands higher temperatures. It resists tears from stretching or flexing, but it’s softer than PVDF tubing and less resistant to cuts.
SAE AMS-DTL-23053/8 tubing meets requirements for material quality.
Flame rated VW-1 tubing meets requirements for preventing the spread of flames based on a timed test with vertically suspended material.
Dielectric strength is the maximum voltage a material can handle before it starts to breakdown. The higher the dielectric strength of a material, the better it is for preventing electricity, heat, or signal from dissipating from wire and cable.

High-Shrink-Ratio High-Temperature Heat-Shrink Tubing

- Material: PTFE Plastic
- Shrink Ratio: 4:1
- Dielectric Strength: 455 V/mil
- Shrink Temperature: 660° F
- Temperature Range: -325° to 500° F
This tubing shrinks down to a quarter of its original ID, so it creates a tight seal over irregularly shaped objects. Made of PTFE, it withstands temperatures up to 500° F and resists abrasion and chemicals.
Dielectric strength is the maximum voltage a material can handle before it starts to breakdown.

High-Temperature Heat-Shrink Tubing

Use this tubing in applications where temperatures reach up to 500° F. It’s often used to insulate electronic components. Tubing resists abrasion and chemicals. Semi-rigid, it bends only slightly.
PTFE tubing is more chemical resistant than PEEK.
Dielectric strength is the maximum voltage a material can handle before it starts to breakdown. The higher the dielectric strength of a material, the better it is for preventing electricity, heat, or signal from dissipating from wire and cable.

Thin-Wall High-Temperature Heat-Shrink Tubing

- Material: PTFE Plastic
- Shrink Ratio: 2:1
- Dielectric Strength: 455 V/mil
- Shrink Temperature: 655° F
- Temperature Range: -325° to 500° F
With thin walls, this tubing shrinks faster than other high-temperature tubing. Made of PTFE, it withstands temperatures up to 500° F and resists abrasion and chemicals. It’s also UV resistant, so it won’t fade in sunlight.
Tubing with a 0.006" – 0.01" minimum wall thickness after shrinking is often used on extremely thin (0.014" - 0.038") guide wire to help maintain the thinness of the wire. It’s also good for splicing fiber optics—it minimizes damage to the fibers.
Dielectric strength is the maximum voltage a material can handle before it starts to breakdown.

Chemical-Resistant Heat-Shrink Tubing

Use this tubing where wire and cable may be exposed to chemicals, oil, and acids.
Viton® fluoroelastomer rubber tubing is more chemical resistant than neoprene rubber. It’s also abrasion resistant and withstands temperatures up to 390° F.
SAE AMS-DTL-23053/1 Class 2, 23053/2 Class 2, and 23053/13 tubing meets requirements for material quality and color.
Dielectric strength is the maximum voltage a material can handle before it starts to breakdown. The higher the dielectric strength of a material, the better it is for preventing electricity, heat, or signal from dissipating from wire and cable.

Flame-Retardant Abrasion-Resistant Heat-Shrink Tubing

- Material: PVDF Plastic
- Shrink Ratio: 2:1
- Dielectric Strength: 400 V/mil
- Shrink Temperature: 305° F
- Temperature Range: -65° to 300° F
- Specifications Met: UL Recognized Component, SAE AMS-DTL-23053/18 Class 2, UL 2556 VW-1
Made of PVDF, this tubing has excellent cut and abrasion resistance. A flame-retardant additive makes it combustion resistant and minimizes the spread of flames. It’s flame rated VW-1 to meet requirements for preventing the spread of flames based on a timed test with vertically suspended material. Tubing meets SAE AMS-DTL-23053/18 Class 2 for material quality and color.

Tight-Fit High-Strength Heat-Shrink Tubing

- Material: FEP Plastic
- Shrink Ratio: 1.3:1
- Dielectric Strength: 2,000 V/mil
- Shrink Temperature: 260° F
- Temperature Range: -100° to 400° F
Protect light bulbs, capacitors, and other electronics—this FEP tubing adds a tear- and cut-resistant layer that even contains shattered glass if the bulb breaks. Similar to shrink wrap, it tightly conforms to objects. It’s clear, so you won’t be blocking light, including UV light, from shining through if you use it on a bulb. This tubing also resists chemicals.
Dielectric strength is the maximum voltage a material can handle before it starts to breakdown. The higher the dielectric strength of a material, the better it is for preventing electricity, heat, or signal from dissipating from wire and cable.

Harsh Environment Heat-Shrink Tubing Assortments
Maintain a supply of tubing in a variety of sizes and materials that withstands harsh conditions such as abrasion, moisture, and chemicals.
PVC tubing has excellent resistance to chemicals, oil, and acids.
Polyolefin is for general purpose use. Polyolefin with adhesive creates a water-resistant seal; the adhesive melts when heated and bonds to the underlying surface.
PTFE has excellent abrasion resistance and withstands higher temperatures than other tubing.
Polyester/rubber tubing is chemical resistant.
Neoprene rubber tubing resists chemicals, oil, and acids.
Viton® fluoroelastomer rubber tubing resists chemicals, oil, acids, and abrasion.
FEP tubing is high strength to resist abrasion, cuts, tears, and chemicals.
PVDF resists abrasion, cuts, and tears.
