Choose a grate with a DIN load class rating that's suitable for your application. Class A grates are best for areas with foot traffic, bicycles, and carts. Class B grates are suitable for areas with light vehicle traffic, such as driveways and parking lots. Class C grates can handle heavy truck traffic in roads and commercial zones. Class E grates are designed to withstand impact from heavy vehicles with solid tires, such as forklifts and cargo planes.
