Fiber-Optic Cords
Connect computers, servers, and switches in a fiber-optic network.
Single-mode cords are good for long distances and often used between buildings.
OFNR (optical fiber nonconductive riser) cords prevent the spread of fire from floor to floor within buildings. Use them in vertical spaces, such as shafts, between floors. They cannot be installed in plenum areas. These cords are corrosion resistant. They release heavy black smoke, hydrochloric acid, and other toxic gases when they burn.
Cords with LC connections have push-pull connectors that lock in place with a latch. Their connectors are about half the size of SC and ST connectors, so they’re best for devices in tight spaces as well as crowded racks and panels.
Cords with SC connections have push-pull connectors that lock in place with a tab.
Cords with ST connections have twist-lock spring-loaded connectors that secure in place with a bayonet lock.
USB Adapter Cords
Adapt your USB port to connect to a variety of other devices. These USB cords are backward compatible, so they work with cords and connectors that meet the same or a lower USB standard.

Fiber-Optic Cable
- Use For: Data
- Flexible
- Temperature Range: -40° to 155° F
- Insulation: Thermoplastic
Send data between data centers and workstations in fiber-optic networks. The thermoplastic outer insulation on this cable is flame retardant for safe indoor use, and resists water and UV light for outdoor use. Because it works both indoors and outdoors, there’s no need for a transition splice when routing the cable into buildings. Each inner fiber also has a layer of thermoplastic insulation to protect signals and add flexibility. This cable is non-conductive, so grounding or bonding is not required.
Single-mode cable is often used to send data between buildings. It has a small core diameter, which reduces signal loss. It transmits data over longer distances and has a higher bandwidth than multimode cable.
ONFP cable is for use in horizontal shafts, such as in ducts and above drop ceilings.
Fiber count refers to the number of optical fibers inside a cable. The higher the count, the more data you can send. You can branch each fiber into its own individual cable if your network demands grow in the future.

Fiber-Optic Cable Ratchet Crimpers
Crimp FC, ST, SC, LC, SMA, and MT-RJ connectors onto fiber-optic cable. The ratchet applies the correct pressure to ensure a complete crimp every time.
