Feeler Gauge Sets

Keep a variety of leaf thicknesses on hand to confirm gaps are within tolerance. These gauges are often used to check the clearance around bearings and other machine parts, making sure there’s enough space to avoid friction and prevent wear. The leaves are riveted together in a folding fan design, so they’re easy to carry. Each leaf is marked with thickness for quick reference.
Steel and tool steel leaves are stronger, harder, and more wear resistant than stainless steel and brass leaves. Brass leaves have good corrosion resistance and are nonmarring to prevent scratches. They’re also nonmagnetic, so you can safely check spark plugs and other electronic ignitions without attracting debris.
Sets with both steel and brass leaves include 30 steel leaves and six brass leaves.
Sets with a leaf-securing lock hold individual leaves in place so they don’t move and disrupt measurements.

Starrett Feeler Gauge Sets

Check gaps, alignment, and narrow slots with these feeler gauge sets that include leaves in a variety of thicknesses riveted together in a fan design. Sets fold up for portability. Each leaf is marked with thickness. Leaf-securing locks hold individual gauge leaves in place.
Tool steel gauge sets are stronger, harder, and more wear resistant than stainless steel.
Stainless steel gauge sets are less likely to rust than tool steel.

Starrett Feeler Gauge Sets with Calibration Certificate

To ensure accurate readings, these sets come with a certificate of calibration traceable to NIST that states they’ve passed a test for accuracy. They are used to check gaps, alignment, and narrow slots. Gauge leaves are riveted together in a fan design that folds up for portability. Each leaf is marked with thickness. Leaf-securing locks hold individual gauge leaves in place.
Tool steel gauge sets are stronger, harder, and more wear resistant than stainless steel gauge sets.
Stainless steel gauge sets are less likely to rust than tool steel gauge sets.
