The most commonly used hex nuts, these are suitable for fastening most machinery and equipment.
    Brass
Brass—Conductive and nonmagnetic, brass nuts are commonly used to secure electrical equipment, such as circuit board assemblies and mounting brackets, inside enclosures. They're also softer than most metals, so they won't damage other fastening components.

    JIS Steel Pan Head Screws

Image of Product. Front orientation. Rounded Head Screws. JIS Steel Pan Head Screws.
These screws are manufactured to meet Japanese Industrial Standards. Similar in appearance to Phillips, the JIS drive has a shallower opening with sharper angles and straighter internal walls. This lets them withstand more torque while preventing the driver from slipping and damaging the drive. Tighten them only with a JIS driver to avoid stripping the drive. Some JIS screws are marked with a dot near the drive for quick identification. Pan heads have a moderate height and width profile, offering a middle ground between narrower button heads and wider truss heads.
Length is measured from under the head.
Zinc-Plated Steel—A common choice for areas with occasional exposure to moisture.

Stainless Steel Hex-Drive Precision Shoulder Screws

Image of Product. Front orientation. Shoulder Screws. Stainless Steel Hex-Drive Precision Shoulder Screws.
Our go-to choice for assemblies that require smooth, accurate movement. These screws are engineered for tight tolerances, with shoulder diameters twice as precise as those on standard-fit screws. They're made of stainless steel, so they won't rust, though they're not as strong as their alloy steel counterparts.
18-8 Stainless Steel—The choice for wet and outdoor environments, these screws won't rust. However, they won't hold up to the harsh chemicals that 316 stainless steel can.
