About Sound Levels
Measured in decibels (dB), volume ratings indicate how much noise equipment makes. Some common volume levels include a whisper @ 20 dB, a refrigerator @ 40 dB, a conversation @ 60 dB, and a light machine shop @ 90 dB. OSHA recommends hearing protection for exposure to 80 dB and greater.
Economy Direct-Drive Mobile Floor Fans

Often used in welding shops and oil refineries, the motor in these fans is rated as safe for use around flammable and combustible gas, vapor, and dust. As a belt-drive motor, it’s quieter than direct-drive motors and has a longer life span because its components are replaceable. The motor is totally enclosed for protection in dusty and damp environments. These fans are freestanding, so there’s no mounting required. They have wheels for rolling into place before they’re hardwired, but don’t allow for movement once they’re in use.

Direct-Drive Upblast Roof-Mount Exhaust Fans
Direct-drive fans have fewer moving parts than belt-drive fans for less maintenance. These exhaust fans draw stagnant and humid air out through your roof and then expel it up and away from the roof surface. All fans have a disconnect switch to turn off the power for servicing.
Note: Airflow depends on the resistance created by ductwork. This resistance, known as static pressure (SP), is measured in inches of water.

High-Output Mobile Evaporative Air Coolers
Produce twice as much cool air as standard mobile evaporative air coolers. Also known as swamp coolers, use these air coolers wherever air conditioning is impractical. They take in water, which soaks into pads. When air is blown through the wet pads, the evaporation produces cool air.
Replacement pads are sold separately.
