Light Duty Ethernet Switches

Designed for low-traffic networks, these switches connect computers, sensors, and other devices so they can talk to each other, access the Internet, and provide you with real-time diagnostics. These switches do not require setup—just plug in a device and it will be connected to your network. They are backward compatible, so they'll work in networks below their rated transmission speed. For example, a 100 Mbps switch will work in a 10 Mbps network, but it will only run at 10 Mbps.

Device-prioritizing Ethernet switches, also known as managed Ethernet switches, let you control which devices get priority speed on your network. For example, you can set it so that safety systems get all of the bandwidth they need while they are running, and all other devices on the network share what's left over. Easily set up these switches over the web or via command line interface. No software required.
Ethernet switches connect computers, sensors, and other devices to the same network so they can talk to each other, access the Internet, and provide you with real-time diagnostics. These switches have port mirroring, which duplicates data from one network port to another—this lets you keep an eye on network traffic and troubleshoot performance issues. They are backward compatible, so they'll work in networks below their rated transmission speed. For example, a 100 Mbps switch will work in a 10 Mbps network, but it will only run at 10 Mbps.
M12 connections instead of typical RJ45 keep out contaminants and won’t come loose from vibration. D-coded connectors are used for Ethernet rated up to Category 5 or 100 Mbps. X-coded connectors are used for high-speed Ethernet with data transfer rates up to 1 Gb/s. Switches with a 5-pole power plug have a ground pin.
These switches use the IEEE802.1q standard for VLAN (Virtual Local Area Network). VLAN increases security, reliability, and efficiency by clustering devices on the network into groups and limiting when and how devices can communicate outside of their group.

Low-Profile Ethernet Switches

These compact switches work just like regular Ethernet switches but are small enough to fit in shallow cabinets. They connect computers, sensors, and other devices to the same network, so they can talk to each other, access the Internet, and provide you with real-time diagnostics. These switches do not require setup—just plug in a device and it will connect to your network. They are backward compatible, so they'll work in networks below their rated transmission speed. For example, a 100 Mbps switch will work in a 10 Mbps network, but it will only run at 10 Mbps.

From factory floors to railway systems, the sturdy connections on these switches connect cabled devices in tough environments. More rugged than the RJ45 ports on standard Ethernet switches, the M12 connectors are IP rated to seal out water and dust, and won't shake loose from vibration. Use them to send data between sensors, switches, servers, computers, and PLCs, or to connect devices to the Internet. Plug in your devices and they’ll be connected to your network, no further setup required. When not in use, protect connectors with an M12 electrical connector cap.
All switches are backward compatible, so they work in networks that meet the same or lower transmission speed. For example, a 100 Mbps transmission speed switch will work in a 10 Mbps network, but it will only run at 10 Mbps.
Switches with A-coded plugs only receive power—they can’t share power with another switch connected down the line. Switches with L-coded plugs have dedicated power in and power out ports. This means you can daisy-chain power from one Ethernet switch to another.
IP66 and IP67 rated switches withstand washdowns and temporary submersion. You’ll often find them mounted directly to machines or equipment in process control and outdoor communication applications. IP69K rated switches have the highest level of protection. They withstand high-pressure washdowns and steam cleaning. These switches are designed for harsh environments with regular exposure to water, so you’ll find them in manufacturing, food processing, and wastewater treatment facilities. You can also use them in areas exposed to rain or snow.

High-Performance Rugged Computers
Quickly perform demanding calculations in harsh industrial environments. These computers handle more complex tasks than our other rugged computers, making quick work of everything from emails to spreadsheet data analysis. They have a wide operating temperature range, so they’ll stay reliable and won’t need downtime in hot or cold conditions. Their sealed enclosure and fanless cooling keep dust and debris out to protect internal components. No fans also means one less point of failure compared to standard computers. Instead, the enclosure has cooling fins that act as a heat sink to draw heat away from internal components and dissipate it. Just remember not to place objects on top of these computers. All meet rigorous safety standards.
Pair these computers with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse (all not included) to create a workstation on your plant floor. You can also set them up to collect and record data from sensors and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and transmit it over your network for monitoring and process control. A wide range of connection options means you can receive inputs from or output to a variety of industrial equipment. All computers come with a power adapter and cord that plugs into a standard outlet. Mount these computers to walls or inside enclosures with the included surface mounting bracket.
Also known as edge computers or IoT gateways, these computers use a Windows IoT Enterprise system specifically for industrial computers. This makes them compatible with all standard Windows applications and more secure than consumer-focused versions of Windows. These computers support long-term security and maintenance updates to ensure that your system remains secure and stable over an extended lifetime.
Computers with an Intel Core i5 processor come with a bracket for mounting to a DIN rail. Alternatively, use a VESA mounting bracket (sold separately) to mount these computers to VESA-standard mounting holes on the back of a monitor.
Computers with an Intel Core i7 processor are faster than those with a Core i5 processor for improved performance while multitasking. These computers have also passed rigorous military performance tests for shock and vibration. They have a storage expansion slot, so you can add an additional hard drive (sold separately) to increase storage capacity.

Rugged Computers

An enclosed fanless design keeps dust and debris from getting inside these computers and damaging internal components. Use them on factory floors and in other dirty working conditions without worry. They won’t lag or crash when exposed to a wide range of temperatures—use them in areas where conventional PCs may overheat. The enclosure has cooling fins that act as a heat sink to draw heat away from internal components and dissipate it. However, this means you need to avoid placing objects on top of these computers.
These computers have Intel Pentium or Atom processors for everyday tasks like browsing the web, emailing, and punching in data. You can also set them up to collect and record data from sensors and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and transmit it over your network for monitoring and process control. Also known as edge computers or IoT gateways, these computers use a Windows IoT Enterprise system specifically developed for industrial computers. This makes them compatible with all standard Windows applications. From encryption to control over which applications can run, this system is more secure than consumer versions of Windows. They support long-term security and maintenance updates to ensure that your system remains secure and stable over an extended lifetime.
These computers are small enough to fit in enclosures and tight spaces. Add your own monitor, keyboard, and mouse for a full workstation. They have a wide range of connections, so they're compatible with most industrial equipment. All come with a power adapter and cord that plugs into a standard outlet. Use the included DIN-rail mounting bracket to mount these computers to a DIN rail. You can also mount them to walls or inside enclosures with the included surface mounting bracket.
Computers that meet MIL-STD-810 are sturdy enough to pass the highest military performance tests for temperature, shock, and vibration resistance.
