Enclosure Paint
![](/prerenderstable/mvPRE/contents/gfx/imagecache/389/3896n111-@halfx_py1am_1736185122.png?ver=imagenotfound)
Touch up scratches and wear on your enclosure with paint that matches its color. This acrylic lacquer paint has strong adhesion and resists detergent and water—including in washdown environments—as well as abrasion, heat, and alcohol. It sprays evenly onto surfaces, with no need for additional tools such as brushes.
Paint cannot be sold to the listed areas due to local regulatory limits on VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

Powder Coating Primers
![](/prerenderstable/mvPRE/contents/gfx/imagecache/443/4439n101-rev@halfx_1695223218.png?ver=imagenotfound)
Prepare metal surfaces for powder coating. These primers create a base layer that bonds with your top coat to extend the life of your powder coating. Use a powder coating sprayer to apply these primers directly to unpainted metal and cure in an oven.
Epoxy primers are good general purpose primers for most metal.
Zinc/epoxy primers have excellent corrosion resistance, so they’re often used to protect metal that rusts easily, such as steel and cast iron.

Galvanizing Zinc Primers for Metal
![](/prerenderstable/mvPRE/contents/gfx/imagecache/glo/global-can-gallon-@halfx_637159023366004089.png?ver=imagenotfound)
A high concentration of zinc gives these primers excellent corrosion resistance for protecting steel—when exposed to moisture and chemicals, the zinc rusts before the underlying steel can. They’re often used with structural steel to prepare the surface for paint while forming a protective layer. Apply with a brush, roller, or sprayer.
Polyurethane primers can be applied in environments with high humidity. They allow underlying moisture to escape while preventing additional water from getting in. Surface must be visibly dry and free of frost and ice.
Epoxy primers have excellent abrasion resistance. The container size listed is the combined total of the three parts.

Increase paint’s ability to bond to hard, smooth surfaces, such as tile and metal.
Acrylic primer is often used on previously painted hard, slick, or glossy surfaces. Use it indoors or out. Apply with a brush, roller, or sprayer.
Epoxy primer is designed for use on floors to improve the longevity of paint and coatings. This low-odor primer can be used in enclosed occupied areas. For indoor use only. The size listed is the combined total of the two parts. Apply with a brush or roller.

Tamper and Vibration Detection Paint
![](/prerenderstable/mvPRE/contents/gfx/imagecache/147/1476t@halfx_636952500847023223.png?ver=imagenotfound)
Easily detect vibration or tampering—this paint becomes brittle once dried and cracks from movement. Originally used in the aerospace industry, this paint won’t corrode and adheres to most surfaces, including all types of metal. It’s useful on screws, nuts, and bolts in assemblies with high vibration, such as gearboxes or conveyor lines. Or use it to check for vibration between mated parts, such as pipe fittings and pipe, by applying it directly to both parts.
To speed up drying and curing time, blow hot air on the paint or place the item you’re painting in a warm environment.
Fluorescent paint is also visible in dark environments and under UV lights. UV lighting makes small cracks easier to spot.
Paint that hardens in 1 minute quickly dries to the touch, so you can continue your work without interruption. It fully cures within 24 hours for reduced downtime—most formulas take 10 days to cure.
Paint that cures in 10 days will achieve 80% of its cure within the first 48 to 72 hours.
Paint cannot be sold to the listed areas because it exceeds local regulatory limits on VOCs (volatile organic compounds).
