Hex Shank Combination Drill Bits/Taps for Drills and Screwdrivers
With a drill bit point to drive into the workpiece, these taps can drill and tap holes in a single step. A 1/4" hex shank connects them directly to tools such as drills and power screwdrivers. They're made of high-speed steel and are for use on most metal and plastic.
Their spiral flutes keep chips clear by drawing them back toward the tap and out of the hole. All have a plug chamfer with 3-5 chamfered cutting threads, so they're suitable for start-to-finish tapping.
Uncoated taps are strong enough for most tapping jobs but have the shortest tool life.

Combination Drill Bit/Taps
Drill holes and cut threads without switching tools. Made of high-speed steel, these taps are for use on most metal and plastic. The square shank is compatible with tap holders for drill presses and milling machines. All have a plug chamfer with 3-5 chamfered cutting threads, so they're suitable for start-to-finish tapping.

Helical Insert Assortments with Installation Tools
Assortments include various sizes of helical inserts and a tap, a drill bit, and an installation tool for each thread size. Also known as Heli-Coil inserts, the inserts have coils that expand once installed to securely anchor the insert. All have a prong for ease of installation. An installation tool grips the prong and reduces the coil diameter, enabling the insert to fit in tapped holes. Remove the prong to insert the screw.
