Drill Bits for Masonry and Concrete

Crush rather than cut material so bits don’t jam or overheat while drilling masonry and concrete. The ultra-hard carbide tip breaks masonry into pieces and the widely spaced flutes channel them out of the hole. These bits stay sharp, resisting wear and heat that will dull or break other bits.

    SDS-Plus

    Shank

The slotted shank fits SDS-Plus-drive rotary hammers, which rotate and hammer bits simultaneously to penetrate material. Also known as percussion or impact bits.
Standard Point—The most common point type handles most jobs. However, for more aggressive cutting that generates a lot of heat, consider a multipoint or serrated bit.
Multipoint—Five points on the tip extend the life and reduce vibration for drilling smoother, rounder holes than standard-point masonry drill bits.

    Shank

The slotted shank is compatible with SDS-Max-drive rotary hammers. These bits use simultaneous rotary and hammering action to penetrate material. Also known as percussion or impact bits.
Standard Point—The most common point type handles most jobs. However, for more aggressive cutting that generates a lot of heat, consider a multipoint or serrated bit.

Round Shank for Hammer and Rotary Drilling
Image of Product. Front orientation. Drill Bits. Drill Bits for Masonry and Concrete, Round Shank for Hammer and Rotary Drilling.
Use these bits in rotary hammers that have a drill chuck. Simultaneous rotary and hammering action drills faster and penetrates material with less pressure than rotary-only bits. Also known as percussion or impact bits.
Standard Point—The most common point type handles most jobs. However, for more aggressive cutting that generates a lot of heat, consider a multipoint or serrated bit.
Serrated Point—Delivers faster, cooler cutting as well as longer life than standard-point masonry drill bits.

Hex Shank for Rotary Only Drilling
Image of Product. Side1 orientation. Drill Bits. Drill Bits for Masonry and Concrete, Hex Shank for Rotary Only Drilling.
The hex shape reduces the chance of the shank slipping in the chuck. Pair these bits with hand-held power drills and hammer drills set to rotary-only mode. Because they use rotary action only, they require more pressure to grind up material than other bits.

Core Drill Bits for Masonry and Concrete

Remove a core of material with these hollow bits to make larger holes than fluted masonry bits. They're often used for installing pipe and conduit through brick and concrete. The carbide tip resists wear and heat to stay sharp.

Changeable-Size Core Drill Bits for Masonry and Concrete

Instead of investing in multiple bits, change the bit body to drill a different-sized hole. These hollow bits remove a large core of material from concrete, brick, and masonry for installing pipe and conduit. The carbide tip resists wear and heat to stay sharp. Bits include a pilot drill to make starting holes easier.

Chip-Clearing Drill Bits for Masonry and Concrete

Prevent frequent stops to clear bits and reduce heat buildup that can damage them. The tight spiral flutes lift dust and debris out of the hole more quickly than standard masonry bits. These bits are especially effective for brittle material that creates a lot of debris, such as block and brick. The carbide tip resists wear to stay sharp.

Drill Bit Sets for Masonry and Concrete

Crush rather than cut material so bits don’t jam or overheat while drilling masonry and concrete. The ultra-hard carbide tip breaks masonry into pieces and the widely spaced flutes channel them out of the hole. These bits stay sharp, resisting wear and heat that will dull or break other bits.

Hex Shank for Hammer and Rotary Drilling
Image of Product. Front orientation. Drill Bits. Drill Bit Sets for Masonry and Concrete, Hex Shank for Hammer and Rotary Drilling.
The hex shape is less likely to slip in the chuck than a round shank. Use simultaneous rotary and hammering action to drill faster and penetrate material with less pressure than rotary-only bits. Also known as percussion or impact bits.
Standard Point—The most common point type handles most jobs. However, for more aggressive cutting that generates a lot of heat, consider a multipoint or serrated bit.

Chip-Clearing Drill Bit Sets for Masonry and Concrete

Prevent frequent stops to clear bits and reduce heat buildup that can damage them. The tight spiral flutes lift dust and debris out of the hole more quickly than standard masonry bits. These bits are especially effective for brittle material that creates a lot of debris, such as block and brick. The carbide tip resists wear to stay sharp.

Use these bits in rotary hammers that have a drill chuck. Simultaneous rotary and hammering action drills faster and penetrates material with less pressure than rotary-only bits. Also known as percussion or impact bits.
