Medium-Pressure Pipe Fittings for Joining Dissimilar Metals
Use these unions to connect different metals in a piping or plumbing system. They have a plastic sleeve that inhibits destructive corrosion. Use them for connections that must be electrically insulated. Unions separate into three pieces for access to your line.

Standard-Wall Galvanized Steel Pipe Nipples
and Pipe for Joining Dissimilar Metals

A plastic sleeve prevents destructive corrosion when connecting different metals. Pipe is also known as Schedule 40 and is designed for low-pressure applications. It is galvanized steel, which has fair corrosion resistance. Pipe is welded, so there is a weld bead on the inside. Not for use in heating systems that use hot liquids or gas.

Press-Connect Fittings for Copper Tubing
- For Use With: Drinking Water
- Maximum Pressure: 200psi @ 72° F
- Temperature Range: 0° to 250° F
- Tubing: Use with K, M, L copper

Crimp these fittings to copper tubing with a crimping tool (sold separately). An O-ring on the inside of the fitting creates a leak-tight connection that doesn’t require heat or soldering. They are comparable to Viega ProPress fittings. Fittings have good corrosion resistance. They meet NSF/ANSI safety standards for use with drinking water systems.
Unions separate into three pieces for easy access to your line. Union adapters for galvanized steel threaded pipe join copper tubing to galvanized threaded connections on hot water heaters.

Gaskets with Bolt Holes for Dissimilar Metals
Furnished with plastic sleeves and washers to provide a layer of protection against dielectric corrosion, which occurs when different metals are joined. These gaskets are commonly called full-face gaskets; they cover the entire face of flat-surface pipe flanges and align with the bolt holes. They’re made of EPDM rubber and resist water, steam, and salt water. They are compatible with low-pressure pipe flanges; all gasket specifications are sized to meet ANSI standards. Each gasket comes with one full-length sleeve for each bolt hole, plus two phenolic and two zinc-plated metal washers for each bolt hole. Bolts are not included.
