Outside Micrometers for Gears with Calibration Certificate

These micrometers come with a calibration certificate traceable to NIST that states they've passed a test for accuracy. The disc-shaped anvil and spindle fit into narrow recesses to measure the thickness of gear teeth. Each micrometer has a ratchet-stop thimble with a speeder knob to reduce the time it takes to open and close the micrometer. A constant-force mechanism stops the micrometer’s spindle from tightening once it contacts the surface of the measured object. This ensures repeatable measurements and prevents over-tightening. When the spindle stops tightening, the thimble stops turning, but the speeder knob will continue turning with a clicking sound.
223-125 model has a mechanical analog counter that displays measurement readings. It does not require batteries.
323-350-30 model displays measurements on an easy-to-read LCD. It has zero-position memory, also known as absolute (ABS) positioning, which retains the measuring position when the micrometer is turned off. A zero-set button allows you to start measuring at any point.

Outside Micrometers for Thin Materials

Measure the thickness of paper and other thin materials without distorting them. These micrometers have disc-shaped tips and a non-rotating spindle that apply soft pressure on delicate parts. A ratchet-stop thimble with a speeder knob reduces the time it takes to open and close these micrometers. When the spindle stops tightening, the thimble stops turning, but the speeder knob will continue turning with a clicking sound.

Inside Hole Micrometers for Grooves

Reach into bores to measure the precise size and location of grooves. These micrometers have two discs on their measuring spindle to find a groove’s edge. Slide the spindle into your bore, press the discs against the wall and into the groove, and twist the thimble to measure the distance between the two discs. A speeder knob moves the measuring spindle more quickly toward or away from your groove, without turning the thimble repeatedly. When the spindle touches the groove you’re measuring, it will stop tightening, but the speeder knob will continue turning with a clicking sound. The spindle doesn’t rotate, so the contact points won’t spin or slip out of a groove.
