Carabiners—Not for Lifting

Latch
Position
Quickly connect and disconnect these carabiners—they don’t lock.
Aluminum carabiners are more corrosion resistant and lightweight than zinc-plated carabiners. Anodized aluminum carabiners offer excellent corrosion resistance.
Screw-Locking Carabiners—Not for Lifting

Latch
Position
The most secure carabiner we offer, these carabiners won’t accidentally open when rope slides because you need to unscrew the latch to unlock them.
Aluminum carabiners are more lightweight and resist corrosion better than zinc-plated steel carabiners. Anodized aluminum carabiners have excellent corrosion resistance.
Style 5 carabiners have a spring-loaded wire to keep rope secured to one end. Lift the wire to release the rope. When you let go, the wire springs back into place.
Carabiners with an offset latch open to the side, giving you more space to attach large items.
Carabiners with a locking indicator have a symbol that is covered when the carabiner is fully locked and exposed when it is not.

Twist-Locking Carabiners—Not for Lifting

Latch
Position

Latch
Position
Hold rope more securely than nonlocking and slide-release carabiners. While these carabiners are not as secure as screw-locking carabiners, they are easier to open.
Twist 90°/push in carabiners are easy to open with one hand.
Pull down/twist 90°/push in and lift up/twist 90°/push in carabiners are more secure than twist 90°/push in because they require an extra step to open. Some have an unlocked setting, making it easy to add your rope or strap. Lift up the latch then twist it. It will remain unlocked until you push in the latch. Once the latch is pushed in, it springs back and locks into place.
Aluminum carabiners are more lightweight and resist corrosion better than zinc-plated steel. Anodized carabiners offer excellent corrosion resistance.
Style 2 carabiners have a spring-loaded wire to keep rope secured to one end, preventing it from sliding or moving. Lift the wire to release the rope. When you let go, the wire springs back into place.
Styles 3 and 7-13 have either a removable eye pin or eyelet that secures rope to one end of the carabiner to prevent it from sliding or moving.
Carabiners with an offset latch open to the side, giving you more space to attach large items.
Carabiners with a locking indicator have a symbol that is shown when the carabiner is fully locked.
Carabiners that meet ANSI/ASSP Z359.12 have been tested for use in fall protection systems.

Twist-Locking Carabiners with Swivel—Not for Lifting

Prevent twisting in your rope or line with these swiveling carabiners. To open, pull the latch down, twist 90° and push in. These carabiners have a symbol that is exposed when the carabiner is fully locked and covered when it is unlocked. Made of anodized aluminum, they resist corrosion and are lightweight.
Carabiners with ball bearings rotate freely under loads.
Carabiners without ball bearings swivel with a bushing to rotate before a load is applied. There is a carabiner on both sides of the swivel, so you can attach multiple items in different orientations.

Railing Clamps

Clamp onto metal tubes such as pipe, scaffolding, and railing to hang lighting fixtures, threaded rod, and equipment. Made of aluminum, all of these clamps are lightweight and have good corrosion resistance.
Clamps with a black anodized finish blend into dark backgrounds and are more corrosion resistant than unfinished clamps.
Style A clamps have grooves on the inside to improve grip. To mount equipment, remove the bolt on the bottom of the hanger, mount the equipment, and reattach the bolt. To hang threaded rod, remove the bolt and replace it with threaded rod.
Style B clamps have a T-handle for attachment and removal. To mount equipment, remove the bolt on the bottom of the hanger, mount the equipment, and reattach the bolt. To hang threaded rod, remove the bolt and replace it with threaded rod.
Style D clamps have a wing nut and a bolt for making adjustments. To mount equipment, remove the bolt on the bottom of the hanger, mount the equipment, and reattach the bolt. To hang threaded rod, remove the bolt and replace it with threaded rod.
