    Clevis Pins
    3D CAD models available

The most commonly used clevis pins—just slide a cotter pin into the hole to secure parts. These pins have a flat, low-profile head to fit in tight spaces. They're less likely to get in the way than pins with a loop grip or T-handle but aren’t as easy to grab if you want to remove them frequently. Add your own cotter pin, or choose a clevis pin that includes a reusable hairpin cotter.
    Steel
Carbon Steel—Stronger than stainless steel, these pins won't deform from stress and vibration. They perform best in dry environments since moisture will cause them to rust.
Zinc-Plated Carbon Steel—These pins withstand occasional exposure to moisture. However, since friction from moving parts can wear away the finish, they're not ideal for wet environments. While not nearly as corrosion resistant as stainless steel, they are stronger and won’t deform under stress.

Galvanized Carbon Steel—These pins combine the strength of steel with the rust resistance of stainless steel. They're often used as an economical alternative to 18-8 stainless steel in wet and outdoor environments, but they won't hold up to salt water and chemicals.

    Tethered Loop-Grip Clevis Pins
    3D CAD models available

A lanyard or chain prevents your pin from getting lost when removed. With a large loop handle that's easy to grip and pull, these clevis pins are often used for towing and other applications where you regularly secure and release components.

Painted Carbon Steel—Stronger than stainless steel, these pins won't deform from stress and vibration. The dark enamel creates a finished look but offers minimal corrosion resistance. They're best for dry environments.
Zinc-Plated Carbon Steel—These pins withstand occasional exposure to moisture. However, since friction from moving parts can wear away the finish, they're not ideal for wet environments. While not nearly as corrosion resistant as stainless steel, they are stronger and won’t deform under stress.
Zinc-Yellow-Chromate-Plated Carbon Steel—With a more durable finish than clear zinc plating, these pins hold up in wet and outdoor environments although not as well as stainless steel. Because the plating resists wear and the steel holds up under stress, they're good for pivoting parts, like rod end linkages.
Cotter Pin Included—The hairpin cotter is quicker to install and remove than a linch pin but not as secure.
Linch Pin Included—Less likely to get knocked or shaken out of place than a hairpin, the linch pin has a ring that snaps down and locks.

High-Strength 17-4 PH Stainless Steel—The strongest stainless steel pins we offer, these are the least likely to deform due to stress and vibration. Similar to 18-8 stainless steel, they're suitable for most wet and outdoor environments. However, they won't hold up to the harsh conditions and chemicals that 316 stainless steel can.

    T-Handle Clevis Pins
    3D CAD models available

With the widest grip, these pins give you the most leverage. They’re also the easiest to grab with gloved or slippery hands but take up the most space when installed. To secure, slide a cotter pin (not included) into the hole.

Clevis Pins with Retaining Ring Groove
    3D CAD models available

Insert the retaining ring into the groove for a secure hold that takes up less space than a cotter pin. The ring surrounds the entire pin, so bumps are unlikely to work these pins out of a hole.
Unlike most cotter pins, which install by hand, you will need retaining ring pliers to insert and remove the included ring.

    Clevis Pins with Wire Retainer

Since you can quickly install and release the wire retainer, these pins cut down the time it takes to swap out parts. They are typically used to connect drive shafts to equipment such as gearboxes, pumps, and compressors. The retainer pivots to accommodate nearby components. Also known as power take-off (PTO) pins.

    3D CAD models available

    Clevis Pins with Locking Retainer
    3D CAD models available

Secure and release these heavy duty pins with one hand. Swing the welded solid steel retainer closed, and it locks onto the pin until you press the lever to open. Unlike other clevis pins, you don’t have to reach around to insert a cotter pin or worry about it falling out. These are often used for towing since they make it easy to hitch and unhitch your equipment.
