About Air Preparation

Bench-Top Air Cleaner Hoods

Filtering away dust and particles, these hoods create a clean space for demanding work, such as bioprocessing, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and optics. They have a HEPA H14 filter to catch 99.995% of particles down to 0.1 microns, as well as a pre-filter to pull out large particles before they reach the HEPA filter. To draw air from outside the hood into the filters, they have a fan; there’s no need to connect them to ductwork. A flow monitor tracks the airflow and alerts you with a visible and audible alarm if the fan fails. They meet Fed. Std. Class 100 and ISO Class 5 clean room requirements.

As an alternative to filtering the air of an entire room, these hoods leave a large enough opening for comfortable access inside and have internal fluorescent lighting to help you see your work. Their work surface is 304L stainless steel, which resists bacteria and chemicals, and also is easy to clean. Mount them on workbenches and carts that are designed to hold them, or place them on your own bench top.

Clean Room Compressed Air Filter/Regulators for Particle Removal

Assembled, inspected, and packaged in a clean environment, these filter/regulators come sealed in antistatic double bags. The filter and regulator are joined top-to-bottom to fit in the same space as a filter alone. They provide clean compressed air at your required pressure. Filter has a clear bowl so you can see inside to monitor contents. Regulator is relieving style, so it exhausts when the downstream pressure exceeds the set pressure. The drain stays open. To close the drain and maintain the integrity of the clean room, attach a valve or closure (not included).

Clean Room Disposable Masks

Made of low-linting fabric, these masks won’t shed fabric particles that could contaminate your clean room. They come double bagged and are suitable for use in clean rooms rated to both Federal Standard and ISO classes. In both systems, clean rooms with lower class ratings have fewer contaminants. Toss these masks out after each use so you’re always wearing a fresh mask. They fit tight around your face to prevent contaminants from escaping—just pinch the nosepiece.

Masks sterilized by gamma radiation have been through a process to reduce the level of bacteria and other microorganisms. They have a sterility assurance level of 10^-6, which means there is a 99.9999% chance that not one single microorganism remains after the mask is sterilized.

Masks with a head strap fit your face more tightly than masks with ear straps for a better seal.

Block air and dust from seeping through your drop ceiling grid to help improve air quality and maintain room temperature. These tiles have a gasket around the edge to seal out contaminants. Rated for Fed. Spec. Class 100 and ISO Class 5 clean rooms, they are often used in labs and healthcare facilities. They also absorb 80% of sound to keep workspaces quiet. Coated in thick latex paint, they stand up to bumps and scrapes.

Tiles with recessed edges are indented on all four edges so the installed tile face extends below the support framing.
