    Diameter-Measuring Tape Measures

Wrap around duct, pipe, and other cylindrical objects to find their diameter without complex calculations. These tape measures are ideal for already mounted objects since you don't need to take your system apart. Also known as tree tapes.

Take math out of the equation completely. After wrapping the blade around an object, find the number that overlaps with zero—that's your diameter.
Automatic Blade Return Type—The blade zips back into the case when you let go.
Manual Blade Return Type—Guide the blade back by hand or using the wheel on the side of the case.
Nonlocking Blade Lock—Pull the blade out and hold it in place between your fingers. These free-moving tape measures are best for taking frequent, small measurements.
Coated Steel Blade—A coating on the blade prevents the graduations from wearing or scratching off.
Chrome-Plated Steel Blade—Our most durable blades. The hard chrome plating guards them from scratches, wear, and rust.

For quick diameter measurements on the go, these tape measures are as small as a pack of gum to tuck into your pocket. There's no math involved—just wrap the blade around your cable, pipe, or other cylindrical object. The number that overlaps with zero is your diameter. These tape measures are ideal for already mounted objects since you don't need to take your system apart. Also known as tree tapes.

Chrome-Plated Metal Case—Choose metal cases for your toughest industrial jobs, from construction to machining. These cases resist breaking due to hard hits and drops. However, they're heavier to carry around than plastic cases.

    Circumference-Measuring Rulers

Finding the circumference of duct, pipe, and other cylindrical objects is as easy as pi. Just measure the diameter of the object's opening with the inch scale, then look at the measurement below—that's your circumference. Since you only need access to the opening, these rulers are ideal for pipe and duct that are already mounted. A favorite among sheet metal workers, they're also known as tinners' rules.

Tempered for extra strength, these rulers keep their shape even after multiple hard hits and drops, so they'll measure accurately for years to come. Their graduations are etched and filled with black ink, meaning they won't rub off like printed graduations can.
