Hard-Hat Chin Straps

Hold your hard hat securely on your head with these chin straps. Clip them into the slots in your hard hat and adjust the strap length with a slider for a snug fit.
For extra comfort, use straps with chin guard. These contoured cups hug your chin and protect it from scrapes.
Hard Hats
These Type I hard hats protect against blows from falling objects to the top of the head only.
Class E hard hats are proof-tested at 20,000 volts. Class C have not been tested for electrical protection.
Hard hats with a three-point chin strap stay securely on your head. They’re often worn at heights and in windy conditions, and during active movement such as climbing, working sideways, and working upside down. These hard hats have a foam shell that absorbs impact to reduce force on the neck and head.
Hard hats with ventilation holes have slots that increase air circulation to keep you cool.
Hard hats with mounting slots attach to face shields and earmuffs (not included).
Hard hats come with four-, six-, or eight-point suspensions—the more suspension points, the better the hard hat distributes the force of impact. Ratchet suspensions adjust with an easy-turn knob.

Hard Hats for Top and Side Impacts

For protection from more than just falling objects, these hard hats are rated ANSI/ISEA Z89.1, Type II to deflect both top and off-center blows to the head. They’re also classified as Class E, which means they are tested at 20,000 volts for electrical insulation. To prevent perspiration from getting into your eyes, all have a sweatband. Use the mounting slots to attach face shields and earmuffs (not included).
Hard hats come with four- or eight-point suspensions—the more suspension points, the better the hard hat distributes the force of impact. For comfort and a secure fit, adjust the ratchet suspensions with an easy-to-turn knob.
Hard hats with a two-point chin strap stay securely on your head. They’re useful for windy conditions and working at heights.
Hard hats with a three-point chin strap are more secure than hard hats with a two-point chin strap. They’re good for active movement such as climbing, working sideways, and working upside down.

Lightweight Carbon Fiber Hard Hats

Lightweight yet strong and durable, carbon fiber hard hats protect your head and you can wear them all day. They resist heat better than HDPE hard hats, making them a good choice for foundries, refineries, and other environments with high ambient heat. These hard hats are rated Type I to protect against blows to the top of the head only. They're also designated as Class C, which means they're not tested for electrical protection. For a snug fit, turn a knob on the back of the helmet to tighten suspension. A sweatband prevents perspiration from getting into your eyes, and mounting slots allow for attachments like face shields and earmuffs.
Full brim hard hats protect your head and neck from sun, rain, glare, and splashes.
Hard hats with a MIPS helmet safety system help prevent brain injuries during an accident. They have a low-friction layer inside the helmet, which allows your head to shift slightly during impact. This slight shift directs rotational force away from the brain, reducing your risk of injury. They are also forged, which makes them an additional 25% lighter than woven hard hats without sacrificing safety. The chin strap keeps the hard hat securely on your head.

Climbing-Style Hard Hats
With a low profile, these hard hats give close-fitting protection to your head in confined spaces. They don’t have a brim, so you can see what’s above you and avoid snagging on climbing gear. Chin straps hold these hard hats in place when working in strong wind, upside down, and sideways. For protection from more than just falling objects, these hard hats are rated ANSI/ISEA Z89.1, Type II to deflect both top and off-center blows to the head. Made of ABS plastic, they resist impacts better than standard hard hats. A foam shell reduces the force on the head and neck during impact by absorbing the force.
A sweatband keeps perspiration out of your eyes, and the padding has high-purity silver embedded in it to resist odor. To add a face shield, earmuffs, and other accessories, use the mounting slots on the sides.
Class C hard hats have not been tested for electrical protection. They have ventilation holes that increase air flow to keep you cool.
Class E hard hats insulate from electrical shocks and are often used near overhead power lines and high-voltage equipment. They’re tested at 20,000 volts.
Hard hats with MIPS (multi-directional impact protection system) provide more protection to your brain than standard climbing-style hard hats. A low-friction layer inside the helmet allows your head to shift slightly during an impact. This shift directs rotational force away from the brain, so it causes less damage. These hard hats also have clamps for headlamp straps.
Hard hats with brim grip can be securely grasped by the back while wearing gloves. These hard hats also have a magnetic clasp, so you can connect and release the straps with one hand.

Hard Hats with Clear Brim
Often used when operating a crane or climbing a ladder, these hard hats won’t block your view of what’s above you. With a see-through brim, they increase peripheral visibility by 50% compared to standard hard hats with a full brim. Clear in the front and opaque in the back, the brim wraps all the way around to keep rain off your head and sun off your neck. Swap in a gray visor (sold separately) for a shaded view in full-sun environments. A built-in sweatband keeps perspiration out of your eyes.
Rated Type I, these hard hats protect the top of your head from falling objects. They’re also rated Class E and have been tested at 20,000 volts for electrical insulation. Adjust the suspension with a ratchet for a snug fit. Use the mounting slots to attach face shields, earmuffs, and other equipment.

Hard Hats with Face Shield and Earmuffs

These hard hats give all-in-one head, face, and ear protection. You can lift the face shield and earmuffs when not in use. Turn the ratchet in the back to adjust for a secure fit.
Type II, Class C hard hats protect your head from blows to the top and the sides. A foam shell absorbs impact to reduce force on your neck and head. These hard hats have chin straps, so they stay secure when working sideways, upside down, and in the wind. Designed for forestry, they have a corrosion-resistant steel mesh lens that guards the face while letting a cool wind in. They also have ventilation holes to increase air circulation and maintain a comfortable temperature. Their ratchet knob pivots to fit around ponytails and bandanas. They have not been tested for electrical protection.

Rescue Helmets

Often used in search and rescue operations, these helmets have rail mounts for night vision goggles, headsets, and other equipment. With devices secure and hands free, you can focus on your mission. Their polystyrene liner protects the neck and head by absorbing force during impact. To hold the helmet secure on your head, a ratchet in the back adjusts the fit. Chin straps keep the helmet in place when working upside down and in heavy wind. These helmets meet U.S. safety standards for military operations and European safety standards for whitewater sports and mountaineering, protecting your head in a variety of extreme environments.
To keep you cool under pressure, the helmets have ventilation holes and moisture-wicking padding. Snap the included vent covers on when you need to keep dust and debris out. They also have a sweatband to prevent perspiration from getting in your eyes.
Use a headlamp adapter (sold separately) to attach a light to the night vision goggle mount without needing to use tools. The adapter holds the lamp firmly to the helmet so it doesn't slide off during use.
Use headset adapters or headset and boom microphone adapters (both sold separately) to clip communication systems onto the helmet. Once the adapters are installed, you can take the communication systems on and off without tools. Headset adapters are compatible with helmet-mounted headsets. Headset and boom microphone adapters let you convert headsets with a headband or neckband to helmet mount. Once attached, the headset earpieces can be flipped up when you’re not using them so it’s easier to take the helmet off quickly. They also include a boom microphone adapter.
Add a visor (sold separately) to the helmet for eye protection. No need for tools—just snap it on. Once attached, you can lift the visor away from the face and lock it in the up position. A coating on the inside and outside resists scratching. These visors are rated EN 166:2002 Class 2B for clarity and impact resistance to protect from debris, water, and wind.
