    PVC-Coated Steel—PVC-coated steel ties reduce slipping.
    Black-Oxide Steel—Black-oxide steel ties are easier to bend and work than galvanized steel. However, they don’t resist corrosion.
    Galvanized Steel—Galvanized steel ties resist corrosion and are stronger than black-oxide steel.
