Stainless Steel Press-Fit Nuts for Soft Metal and Plastic
Create corrosion-resistant threads in soft metal and plastic panels—these stainless steel press-fit nuts withstand exposure to water and chemicals. Also known as broach-style captive nuts, they add permanent threads to sheets, like weld nuts, but without the setup and mess. Press them into a drilled or punched hole with an arbor press or similar pressure tool. The pressure forms your material into the knurls of the nut, making the nut inseparable from the sheet. Installation requires access to both sides of the panel.

Metric Stainless Steel Press-Fit Nuts for Soft Metal and Plastic
Add permanent metric threads that resist corrosion to a panel. These nuts are 18-8 stainless steel, so they withstand exposure to mild chemicals and water better than zinc-plated steel nuts. Also known as broach-style captive nuts, they work similarly to weld nuts but without the mess. Press them into a drilled or punched hole using an arbor press or similar pressure tool. The pressure forces the panel into the knurls of the nut, keeping the nut firmly in place. Installation requires access to both sides of the panel.
