Easy-to-Machine Aluminum-Nitride Ceramic Sheets and Bars
- Color: Beige
- Max. Temperature: 3,400° F
- Fabrication: Hot Rolled, Sintered
- Electrical Properties: Electrical Insulating
- Dielectric Strength: 1,650 V/mil
- Porosity: 0%
- Compressive Strength: 140,000 psi
Drill and mill precisely shaped heat sinks and other electronic components that require thermal stability. Aluminum nitride is known for both drawing heat away from hot spots and blocking electrical currents. This blend—also known as Shapal Hi-M—includes boron nitride, making these sheets easier to machine than standard aluminum nitride. While the addition of boron nitride slightly decreases its heat transfer and electrical insulating properties, these sheets still perform better than other ceramics.
As aluminum nitride heats up and cools down, it won't expand or contract, keeping its size and shape stable. It won't corrode from molten metal, so you can braze or solder this material to metal. Use it near lithium batteries and other chlorides without it corroding.

Additives and Fillers for Paints, Coatings, and Lubricants
When mixed into coatings, resins, polymers, and metals, these fillers enhance strength, conductivity, lubricity, and other physical properties.
Non-Bonding Heat Transfer Compounds
Also known as thermal paste, these boron-nitride compounds increase heat transfer between parts while preventing them from sticking. Unlike antiseize compounds, they don't conduct electricity, so you won't risk shorting out sensitive electronics. They're often used on thermocouple probes to improve accuracy. You can also use them in 3D printer heating blocks and other high-temperature areas to keep parts from fusing together.

Bearing Grease
This grease is wear resistant for use in a wide range of bearing types.
NLGI viscosity grade is a rating of a grease's consistency. NLGI 2 is about the consistency of peanut butter.
Grease with boron nitride thickener has excellent heat resistance and good moisture and oxidation resistance.
Grease lubricates most efficiently within the listed temperature range. Melting temperature is the point at which grease will fail and run out of equipment, leaving it to run dry. Nonmelting grease can be used at temperatures above the maximum temperature briefly, but then will break down more quickly.
Chemours Krytox™ grease is long lasting with an indefinite shelf life. Krytox™ XHT grease can be used at extremely high temperatures.
