High-Strength Steel Heavy Hex Head Screws for Structural Applications
50% stronger than our medium-strength steel heavy hex head screws, these steel screws meet ASTM A490 regulations for structural applications, such as mating I-beams and scaffolding. Use them in joints that require more tensile strength than ASTM A325 screws. Also known as structural bolts. Material meets ASTM F3125 specifications for quality. Screws are partially threaded and come with precise threaded and unthreaded portions, allowing you to place only the stronger unthreaded portion (grip) in joints subjected to sideways forces. Length is measured from under the head.
