    Plastic Balls

Image of Product. Front orientation. Plastic. Plastic Balls.
Delrin® Acetal—Able to hold tight tolerances, these balls resist expanding when exposed to heat and moisture. They have a naturally slippery, wear-resistant surface. Use them for bearings and low-load rolling applications. Delrin® acetal resin is also known as acetal homopolymer.
Polypropylene—Resistant to swelling when exposed to water, these balls are often used in laboratory applications.
HDPE—Often used in check valves, relief valves, and float valves, these balls won’t swell when exposed to water. HDPE offers good chemical resistance.
Nylon—Use these nylon 6/6 balls as bearings and in sealing applications. They have a slippery surface that reduces wear caused by friction.
Acrylic Plastic—A lightweight alternative to glass balls, acrylic balls maintain clarity over time. They are scratch and UV resistant, so they stand up to outdoor use better than polycarbonate.
Polycarbonate—Offering excellent impact resistance across a wide temperature range, these polycarbonate balls are only half the weight of glass. This material is comparable to Lexan, Hyzod, Tuffak, and Makrolon.
PTFE—Offering a nonstick, slippery surface, these PTFE balls are often used as bearings and in ball valves. They offer superior chemical resistance and perform well in extreme temperatures. These balls are also excellent electrical insulators.
Torlon PAI—Dimensionally stable and slippery, these balls are often used in high-friction applications, such as nonlubricated rollers and ball bearings.

    Plastic Pellets

Image of Product. Front orientation. Plastic. Plastic Pellets.
Use them with injection molders, 3D printers, and other molding equipment.
Impact Resistant—Absorbing impact without cracking or breaking, these plastic pellets are molded into parts that endure bumps, scrapes, and falls.
Moisture Resistant—These pellets resist swelling when exposed to water, making them suitable for use in wet environments. Melt and mold them into desired shapes.
Wear Resistant—With a low coefficient of friction, these pellets won't wear away from abrasion that’s often caused by contact with moving parts. Melt and mold them into desired shapes. They handle high temperatures without losing their mechanical properties.
HoPP—HoPP pellets are harder than HDPE pellets, so they won't scratch as easily. HoPP has greater tensile strength than CoPP.
CoPP—CoPP pellets are harder than HDPE pellets, so they won't scratch as easily. CoPP has better impact resistance than HoPP. It resists impact even at low temperatures.
HDPE—Choose HDPE pellets for general-purpose applications such as protoyping.
HIPS—HIPS pellets are easy to thermoform, so they’re good for signs, packaging, and other light duty applications.
ABS—ABS pellets are easy to thermoform, have good impact resistance at low temperatures, and have more chemical resistance than those made of HIPS or polycarbonate. They’re also more impact resistant than HIPS pellets. Use them to make storage cases, tote trays, equipment housings, and protective gear.
Nylon—Nylon pellets have good wear resistance, as well as chemical resistance against fuels and hydrocarbons. They will expand and contract when exposed to moisture and temperature changes.
Polycarbonate—Polycarbonate pellets handle higher temperatures than any of these other materials, but they’re more difficult to thermoform. Clear in color and a lightweight alternative to glass, they’re often used to make windows, machine guards, and instrument covers.
PVDF—PVDF pellets are flexible, weather resistant, and have the most chemical resistance of all these materials. PVDF is also known as Kynar.
PEEK—PEEK pellets stand up to acids, alkalis, and oils. They are often used as a lightweight alternative for metal parts in chemical-processing applications. They will expand when exposed to moisture.

Abrasive Blasting Media for Delicate Materials

Image of Product. Front orientation. Abrasive Blasting Media. Abrasive Blasting Media for Delicate Materials.
Remove paint, coatings, and rust from delicate materials. Softer than other abrasive blasting media, this media cleans away contaminants without scratching or marring the underlying surface. It is a good choice for finishing soft metals, plastics, wood, or sensitive equipment.
Our abrasive blasting materials are sorted from least to most aggressive. The more aggressive the media, the more material it removes from your surface.
Both particle mesh size and grit measure the size of the abrasive particles. The higher the number, the finer the particles are.
    Plastic Grit
Slightly more aggressive than walnut shells and corn cob, plastic grit removes tougher coatings and buildup without marring and warping. It also stays effective for twice as many cycles as corn cob and walnut shells.
Medium Reusability—Effective for dozens of cycles under normal blasting conditions.

    Pyramid

Made of soft material, this tumbling media gently finishes aluminum, brass, and other soft metal parts without distorting them. Choose the shape that best matches the contours of your part and a size that’s large enough not to get stuck in recesses and holes. You can also mix shapes and sizes to tailor the finish to your part.
For Extra-Smooth Finish—Common for general use, this media deburrs and rounds edges while preserving surface details. It removes a moderate amount of material to leave behind a matte finish.
V-Cylinder—A good all-around choice for flat surfaces, slots, corners, grooves, and holes. V-cylinders are a hybrid between cylinders and triangles.
Triangle—Reach into slots, corners, grooves, and holes without getting stuck.
Pyramid—Reach into even tighter crevices on your workpiece than with triangular media.
Wet Tumbling Condition—Use this media with liquid cleaners.
