Machine Tool Wire
- Use for panel and equipment (hook-up)
- Flexibility: See table
- Temperature Range:
600V AC Stranded Wire: 0° to 190° F
600V AC/600V DC Stranded Wire: -40° to 190° F
600V AC/600V DC Metric Stranded Wire: -40° to 220° F - Insulation: PVC Plastic
More flexible than standard wire, this wire is often used for internal appliance wiring. The strand count is the number of strands followed by the size of the individual strand. The higher the number of strands, the more flexible the wire. Also known as MTW wire, it’s rated UL 1063 for machine tool wiring.
Metric wire is also known as Harmonized European Wire and meets HAR H07V-K for size (mm²), material, and voltage. It can also be used on North American electrical panels and machines.
