Rechargeable Batteries
Reduce battery costs by powering devices with rechargeable batteries. These batteries work well in high-drain devices such as digital cameras. When choosing a battery, use the capacity, measured in milliampere-hours, to compare among similar sizes. The higher the mA-hr. rating, the longer the battery should last.
Lithium ion (Li-Ion) batteries are lightweight and long lasting. For maximum battery life, recharge before they drain completely. Batteries with lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) chemistry can be recharged more than twice as many times as NiMH and NiCAD batteries. They’re more stable than other lithium batteries, reducing the risk of thermal runaway if exposed to overheating or short circuiting. Note: These batteries can only be used with LiFePO4-compatible chargers.
