Snap-In Square Plugs

Style 1

Style 2

Style 3

Press firmly into square holes for a tighter hold than push-in plugs. These are good for semi-permanent installations, such as finishing the ends of posts and furniture. To remove, you’ll need a tool such as a flat-head screwdriver to pop them out.

Styles 1 and 2—Flexible ribs compress and expand to secure the plug.

Style 3—Often used to keep dirt and moisture out of poles, these plugs have straps that flex and then hold them in place.

Polyethylene—A balance of wear and chemical resistance for use in a variety of environments. These plugs withstand scratches and scrapes as well as mild acids, solvents, and chemical cleaners.

Metal Square Plugs

Designed to finish off the ends of square metal tubing, these plugs cover rough edges and block dirt and debris. Push into place and then drive with a hammer to secure.

Steel—The strongest plugs, but moisture can cause them to rust.

Galvanized Steel—Strong with some rust resistance in wet environments.

Aluminum—For aluminum tubing, use these plugs instead of steel to avoid rust that spreads when different metals are in contact.
