Outside Micrometers for Pipe, Tubing, and Flat Surfaces
Switch out anvils depending on the shape of the item you're measuring. Use the rounded anvil to measure the wall thickness of pipe, tubing, and other curved surfaces. Use the flat anvil to measure flat surfaces.
This micrometer has a friction thimble with a constant-force mechanism, so that once the spindle contacts the surface of the measured object, it will stop tightening. This ensures repeatable measurements and prevents over-tightening. Once the spindle stops tightening, the thimble will continue turning with resistance.

Electronic Outside Micrometers for Pipe, Tubing, and Flat Surfaces
Swap out the anvil on these micrometers for a better fit on curved and flat parts. Use the rounded anvil to measure the wall thickness of curved surfaces, such as pipe and tubing. Use the flat anvil to measure flat surfaces. These micrometers show measurements on an easy-to-read LCD screen. They have a friction thimble with a constant-force mechanism, so they stop tightening once the spindle touches the surface you’re measuring. This ensures repeatable measurements and prevents overtightening. Once the spindle stops tightening, the thimble continues turning with resistance.
All have zero-position memory, also known as absolute (ABS) positioning, which retains the measuring position when the indicator is off. A zero-set button lets you start measuring at any point. Since they have an SPC data output, you can connect them to your computer or data processor. IP rated, these micrometers protect against the dust, water, and coolant common in machine shops.
All accessories are sold separately.
USB data cable connects these micrometers to your PC.
10-pin data cables connect these micrometers to a Mitutoyo miniprocessor or multiplexer.
Wireless data transmitter and receiver let you send measurements to your PC without a cable.

Outside Micrometers for Pipe and Tubing
These micrometers have a round anvil for measuring the wall thickness of pipe, tubing, and other curved surfaces. All have a ratchet-stop thimble with a speeder knob to reduce the time it takes to open and close the micrometer. A constant-force mechanism stops the micrometer’s spindle from tightening once it contacts the surface of the measured object. This ensures repeatable measurements and prevents over-tightening. When the spindle stops tightening, the thimble stops turning, but the speeder knob will continue turning with a clicking sound.
295 models have a mechanical analog counter that displays measurement readings. They do not require batteries.
395 models display measurements on an easy-to-read LCD. They have zero-position memory, also known as absolute (ABS) positioning, which retains the measuring position when the micrometer is turned off. A zero-set button allows you to start measuring at any point.
USB data cables (sold separately) connect 395 model micrometers directly to your PC.
