Flame- and Arc-Flash-Protection Face Masks

Protect your head from electrical arc flashes. These face masks won’t melt or drip when exposed to intermittent flames. They meet NFPA 70E standards for personal protection equipment (PPE) category 2. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace, and then select all required clothing and personal protective equipment to meet the minimum arc rating. Arc rating measures a garment’s ability to insulate the wearer from burns; the higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance. Masks are soft, breathable, and washable.
Westex® UltraSoft® Rib fabric is a lightweight material that’s 88% flame-resistant cotton and 12% nylon knit.

Flame- and Arc-Flash Cold-Protection Gaiters

Shield your face and neck from flame and electrical hazards while working in the cold. These gaiters meet NFPA 70E and 2112 standards for protection from arc flash and flash fire. They’re rated PPE category 2, which is the most common arc flash standard for industrial applications. Made from a modacrylic fabric, these gaiters are lightweight and flexible. They trap heat but allow moisture to escape, so you stay warm and dry. They have four-way stretch for a customizable fit—fold them in half for a double layer of protection and warmth.
Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace, and select all required clothing and personal protective equipment to meet that rating.

Flame- and Arc-Flash-Protection Gaiters

Keep cool while staying shielded from flame and electrical hazards. These gaiters meet NFPA 70E standards for protection against flames and arc flashes. Made from flame-resistant fabric, these gaiters defend against radiant heat and sparks while remaining soft and comfortable. They wick moisture from your head and neck to keep you cool and are easy to breath through when worn as a face covering. With UPF 50 sun protection, they block 98% of UV rays from reaching your skin. An odor-resistant treatment prevents bacteria growth, eliminating odors caused by sweat.
Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace, and select all required clothing and personal protective equipment to meet that rating. These gaiters meet Category 1, the lowest level of arc-rated PPE.

Flame- and Arc-Flash-Protection Hard-Hat Liners
Often used in utility work, metalworking, and welding, these hard-hat liners meet NFPA 70E to protect from flames and electrical arc flashes. They also shield your head and nape from the wind and cold. Secure the liner to your hard hat with the attached hook and loop tabs on each side. Choose a hard-hat liner that meets the arc rated personal protective equipment (PPE) category required by your workplace.
Liners with head, nape, and neck coverage have two layers of insulation inside the flame-resistant shell to protect against the cold: a mid-layer of aramid/modacrylic fabric and an inner layer of cotton/modacrylic fleece.
Liners with a removable nape cover allow you to cool off your nape by zipping off the back. With the nape cover removed, the liner protects the head like a cap.
Use liners with warming pad slots for extra warmth around the ears—slip hand warmer pads (sold separately) into the slots on each side.

Flame- and Arc-Flash-Protection Rain Suits

These suits meet NFPA 70E standards for protection against electrical arc flashes for personal protection equipment (PPE) category 2. They also meet ASTM F2733 standards for protection against flash fires. Check the PPE category and minimum arc rating provided for your workplace, and then select all required clothing and personal protective equipment to meet the minimum arc rating. Arc rating measures a garment’s ability to insulate the wearer from burns; the higher the arc rating, the greater the flame resistance. These suits are made of PVC-coated Nomex aramid. Jackets have snaps down the front and a storm flap to keep rain out. Sleeves have hook and loop cuffs; tighten to fit your wrist or expand to wear over gloves. The bib overalls have adjustable suspenders to modify the length.
