Ceramic Fiber Insulation Sheets for Furnaces
- Temperature Range: See table
- Heat Flow Rate: See table
- Density: See table
- Color: White
- Specifications Met: See table
The most common of our flexible high-temperature sheets, these are used to insulate furnaces. They also can be fabricated into gaskets. Insulation performs best at temperatures above 1000° F.
Sheets without binder don’t have a binder that can burn when installed, so they won’t produce a strong odor. They’re often used to vacuum heat treat furnaces. However, they’re weaker and more brittle than sheets with a binder.
Sheets with binder are stronger in structure, easier to cut, and more pliable than those without a binder. The binder will burn out at 350° and release gas with a strong odor, so only use them in applications where burnout is not an issue.

Thermal-Shock-Resistant Ceramic Fiber Insulation Sheets for Furnaces
- Temperature Range: 0° to 2300° F
- Heat Flow Rate: 0.85 Btu @ 1000° F
- Density: 18 lbs./cu. ft.
- Color: Off-White
- Specifications Met: ASTM E84 0/0 for Flame and Smoke
Designed for fluctuating, high-temperature applications, these semi-rigid sheets are typically used in furnaces and fire protection applications. They experience very little shrinkage at high temperatures, but the brittle material can be somewhat difficult to work with. Insulation is flame resistant, meeting ASTM E84 0/0 for flame and smoke. It performs best at temperatures above 1000° F.
Sheet with binder is easier to handle at room temperature than sheet without a binder, but it contains a small amount of organic material that burns off and releases smoke at around 400° F.
Sheet without binder won't produce smoke when heated.
Moldable Ceramic Insulation Sheets for Furnaces
- Temperature Range: -120° F to 2730° F
- Heat Flow Rate: 1.2 Btu @ 1200° F
- Density: 75 lbs./cu. ft.
- Color: White
Wet these rigid sheets and they become formable. They can be molded multiple times until exposed to heat, which causes them to become rigid again. Insulation performs best at temperatures above 1000° F.

High-Temperature Ceramic Fiber Pipe Insulation
Shield against extreme heat with these flexible ceramic strips. They are often used to insulate hose, cables, and process piping.
Insulation with adhesive backing allows you to install without having to hold in place. Secure with band clamps or other parts of the assembly once in position. Apply while cool. Adhesive will start to wear off around 400° F, but this does not affect the insulation’s temperature rating.

Sanding Tube Brushes
Abrasive grains are embedded in the entire length of the bristles to remove workpiece material as well as surface contamination in a single step. The nylon bristles won't leave behind debris that could cause rust on your workpiece and are recommended for use around acids and alkalies.
Flexible bristles are used to remove light-to-medium rust and stains and small burs.
