High-Temperature High-Strength A286 Stainless Steel—These washers resist high temperatures up to 1300° F. In addition, they are stronger than 316 stainless steel and withstand chemicals, such as bleach and chlorine. However, they won't hold up to salt water as well as 316 stainless steel.

USS Washers
These washers meet USS sizing specifications and typically have larger diameters than SAE washers. As a result, they accommodate larger screws and nuts and distribute pressure across a wider surface area. They are also thicker, so they withstand heavier loads and span wider gaps when used as spacers.
