Filament 3D Printers
Melt and extrude plastic filaments to build quick and inexpensive prototypes, custom and complex parts, and manufacturing aids such as jigs and fixtures. These 3D printers are also known as fused filament fabrication (FFF) and fused deposition modeling (FDM) printers. They meet U.S. and international standards for safety. Product regulations restrict sales to the listed jurisdictions/areas.

These printers use PLA, which is good for creating prototypes. PLA prints at a low temperature, so it rarely clogs extruders. Because it’s so low maintenance, it’s the most common material for 3D printing. MakerBot printers are compatible only with MakerBot-brand filaments.
These printers have a camera that connects to the internet, so you can stream live video of the printing process to monitor it remotely. They have heated printer beds to prevent parts from warping during cooling.

Resin 3D Printers
Cure UV-sensitive resins layer by layer with these printers to make quick and inexpensive prototypes, custom parts, and manufacturing aids such as jigs and fixtures. Also known as vat photopolymerization and LCD 3D printers, they shine UV light through an LCD screen to harden each layer. The large 15” screen lets you print one large part or several small parts at the same time. With an 8K screen resolution, you can print fine details down to the size of a pixel—about the size of a grain of sand.
These printers have an aluminum enclosure that’s strong and stable enough to print large, heavy parts. UV-filtering windows in the front let you safely monitor your prints, while also preventing unwanted UV light in your workspace from reaching your resin.
To make sure you don’t run out of resin during a print, these printers have a pump that detects resin levels and automatically adds resin from a connected bottle when it runs low. After printing, the pump sends the resin back into the bottle for easy cleanup.
These printers come with a composite vat film that acts like wax paper when baking, releasing each layer that’s printed. The composite film is semi-clear, so it lets the UV light pass through for a good cure, while the matte finish releases the layer easily for quick printing. Alternatively, you can replace the composite film with PFA film, which has greater clarity than composite film, so it's better at printing fine details. However, it requires slower printing speeds because cured resin doesn't release as easily from it.
Parts coming out of the printer will not be fully cured. Wash excess resin from your parts and then place them in an ultraviolet curing chamber to cure them completely.
Disposal requirements restrict sales to the listed jurisdictions.
