TIG Welding Rods for Stainless Steel

ER308L rods are for 304 stainless steel. They create welds that hold even in cryogenic temperatures.
ER308LSi rods are for 304 stainless steel. They have a higher silicon content than ER308L rods, so they flow more easily when melted and fill in more of the space between the two pieces of your weld. They’re also better where appearance matters because their welds are smoother.
