Plastic Engraving Plates
Remove the surface layer of these plates to create an engraved message in a contrasting color. Made of plastic, they withstand mild acids and are more corrosion resistant than metal plates.
Adhesive-back plates stick to surfaces. Use them when you only have access to one side of a surface, or when components behind a panel could be damaged by bolts or rivets.
ABS plates are the most common option for rotary engravers. Don't use them with laser engravers since they will burn.
Acrylic plates work well with laser engravers, which engrave quickly and create complex designs. They are also compatible with rotary engravers. Resistant to UV rays, these plates won’t fade in the sun.

Write-On Plates
These plates have a smudgeproof surface that you can write on with permanent marker. They are flexible and have holes at all four corners, so you can use them for bundling or tie them to your equipment when bolting isn’t an option.

Acrylic plates work with rotary and laser engravers. They are UV resistant so they won't fade in the sun.
HDPE plates—also known as ColorCore sheets—work with CNC and hand routers. They won’t degrade when exposed to water, humidity, and UV light.
