Paint for Metal
Paint metal surfaces to stop rust from starting and prevent existing rust from spreading. Scrape rusty areas clean before application. Although primer is not required for use on all materials, it can be used to prepare any surface to maximize the life and corrosion resistance of paint.
Silicone paint stops corrosion on high-temperature surfaces, such as smokestacks, incinerators, heaters, and heat exchangers. To apply paint with a 2-hour overall dry time, spray paint on, and then increase the temperature two to three times (450° to 650° F), allowing surface to cool between firings.
Paint in an aerosol can does not require a primer.

Heat-Radiating Coatings
Able to withstand temperatures of up to 2000° F, these coatings absorb heat and release it later. Use them to improve the thermal efficiency of heaters, furnaces, and ovens to reduce energy costs. Also known as high-emissivity coatings, they have an emissivity rating of 0.9—the closer a material’s rating is to 1.0, the more heat it will absorb and later radiate. Apply with a brush or sprayer.

Protective Coatings
Used to insulate, create grips, and color-code components, these coatings resist high temperatures, light abrasion, and corrosion.
Rubber coatings withstand salt and acids. Although primer is not required for use on all materials, it can be used to prepare any surface to maximize the life of the coating. Apply topcoat to give coated surfaces a glossy finish that resists fading.
PVC plastic coatings can be used on nearly any surface, including rubber. They withstand salt, acids, alkalies, and gasoline. They also resist UV light, so they won’t lose their color when exposed to sunlight over long periods of time.
Coatings that cannot be sold outside of the United States do not meet product labeling requirements.
Primers and topcoats cannot be sold outside of the United States due to product regulations.
VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) regulations restrict sales to the listed jurisdictions/areas.

Powder Coating Primers
Prepare metal surfaces for powder coating. These primers create a base layer that bonds with your top coat to extend the life of your powder coating. Use a powder coating sprayer to apply these primers directly to unpainted metal and cure in an oven.
Epoxy primers are good general purpose primers for most metal.
Zinc/epoxy primers have excellent corrosion resistance, so they’re often used to protect metal that rusts easily, such as steel and cast iron.

Conductive Surface Filler Pens for Electronics
Dispense ready-to-use conductive liquid to fill pits and small gaps on circuit board components. These pens are also used to sketch and repair conductive pathways.
Product labeling requirements restrict sales to the listed areas.
Silver epoxy pens are the most versatile—use them for any type of repair as well as for repairs that require excellent conductivity, such as connecting through holes on circuit boards without adding jumpers, wiring, or solder. Since they have the lowest surface resistivity, they allow the most current to pass.

Conductive Surface Fillers for Electronics
A high silver content allows these surface fillers to conduct electricity and heat. Use them to fill gaps and rebuild missing material on electrical connections or to assemble new components. They come as two parts. The size listed is the combined total of the two parts.
Volume resistivity measures how well a material opposes the flow of electricity. The lower the rating, the more electricity it conducts.
Thermal conductivity measures a material’s ability to transfer heat. The higher the rating, the more heat it transfers.
