About Files
Files, also known as American-pattern and machinists' files, are used to remove material quickly.
Precision files, also known as Swiss-pattern files, are made to exacting measurements to ensure smoothness and are useful for finishing delicate and intricate parts.

Thin-Face Electrical Contact Files

The spatula-like end lets you access contacts in tight spaces. Use on electrical components such as spark plugs, switches, relays, and ignition points. The diamond abrasive cleans the contacts with a minimal amount of pressure while removing very little metal.

Sanding Discs for Grounding Contact Points
![]() | ![]() Sanding Disc |
![]() Arbor |
Remove paint, primer, and other contaminants from electrical grounding contact points to ensure clean connections. Mount these discs to your tool with a wheel arbor, also known as a mandrel (sold separately). The arbor’s tip pokes through the disc and fits into a pre-drilled hole at the center of your grounding contact point. As you sand, the tip acts as a guide to prevent your tool from slipping and sanding areas outside of the contact point.
The nylon mesh backing achieves a more consistent finish over paper- or cloth-backed discs. The mesh flexes to compensate for uneven pressure as you sand. It's embedded with aluminum oxide, the most common abrasive. Discs are medium grade, good for cleaning, blending, and rust removal.
A special fastener on the back of these discs allows you to easily swap one disc for another.
