About Door Closers
When replacing an existing closer, remove the cover and match the model number and/or mounting hole pattern to a closer in our offering. Or, use one of our closers and a universal mounting plate that matches most hole patterns.
If you are installing a new closer, choose one that works for your door width. Due to added resistance from wind, closers typically accommodate smaller exterior doors than interior doors.
There are three typical mounting positions for door closers; many of our closers are versatile and can be mounted in any of these positions. To determine opening direction, stand on the side of the door where the closer will be mounted. If the door opens towards you it opens in; opens away from you it opens out.
Door Mount, Opens In—Also known as regular arm mount, this position allows the door to open in toward the closer.
Door Mount, Opens Out—Also known as parallel arm mount, the arm lays parallel with the door in the closed position.
Frame Mount, Opens Out—Also known as top frame mount, this position is often used for exterior doors.

Automatic Door Openers
Nudge your door and these openers will open it the rest of the way. You can also pair them with automatic door switches and buttons. Their delayed closing action holds the door open for a set amount of time before closing. These openers are for doors that weigh up to 200 lbs. and must be hardwired. They are reversible for right or left door-swing directions.

Automatic Door Switches
Hardwire these switches to automatic door openers, electromagnetic locks, and electric strikes to open doors with the touch of a button or wave of a hand. Mount them to electrical boxes or surface-mount boxes (sold separately). Instant-open switches provide immediate access. Time-delay switches allow time to reach the door before it opens.
Style 1-7 switches operate with the touch of a button. Style 7 switches are 36 in. tall, so they’re easy to push with a foot, cane, crutch, or other device.
Style 8 switches operate with the wave of your hand to reduce the spread of germs. They have an indicator light that changes color when the switch is activated, a selectable unlock time of 1-63 seconds, and a secondary switch that releases doors in the event of a power failure.

Automatic Overhead Door Openers
Also known as jackshafts, these openers will stop and reverse the door's downward motion if it encounters an obstruction or the light beam between the opener's sensing switches is interrupted. During a power failure, use the manual chain hoist to move the door. These openers meet UL 325 safety standards for door operators and systems.
An optional remote transmitter is sold separately.

Conveniently carry your transmitter with your keys to remotely operate automatic overhead door openers. These transmitters are for Liftmaster openers that have Security+ 2.0 rolling code technology, which sends a new code with each use. They can operate three door openers.
Keypad Transmitters
If you don't have your remote, you can still open and close automatic overhead doors with a private 4-digit PIN. Use these transmitters to operate one transmitter or receiver. The keypad is backlit for visibility in the dark.
Heavy Duty Safety Switch Mats
Thicker than standard safety switch mats, these can withstand repeated impact from heavy and sharp objects. They turn equipment off when stepped on or when a fault is detected, preventing personnel from getting too close to dangerous equipment when equipment is on. A complete switch requires a mat and a controller (sold separately). Together they meet ANSI/RIA R15.06 safety requirements. Mats are rated IP65 for protection from washdowns.
Optional frames secure mats to the floor. Punch holes in the frame to insert a screw anywhere along the length.

Safety Switch Mats
Prevent personnel from getting too close to dangerous equipment while it’s running. Step anywhere on these mats and they can turn on warning lights and alarms or shut down equipment. To minimize circuit damage, they also activate if they detect any malfunctions in your equipment’s electrical system. A complete switch requires a mat and a controller (sold separately). Together they meet ANSI/RIA R15.06 safety requirements. Mats are rated IP65 for protection from washdowns.
Red mats are easy to spot in crowded areas and in dim light. They help you avoid stepping on them if you don’t want to stop machinery or to find them quickly if you do.
Mats with diamond tread have a raised pattern on the surface to add traction and prevent slipping. Made from aluminum, they’re more durable than plastic mats, and less likely to be punctured or damaged by impact. However, they’re also more rigid than plastic mats, so they can only be used on flat surfaces. These mats are often used in high-traffic welding shops and freight warehouses.
Optional frames secure mats to the floor. Punch holes in the frame to insert a screw anywhere along the length.
