Moisture Detectors
Check the moisture content of wood and other building materials. Detector uses two noninsulated electrode pins that are mounted directly to the meter. For deeper penetration, two insulated electrode pins attach to the meter with a 3-ft. cord.
This unit has three scales. The wood scale measures moisture from 6% to 40% in lumber, studs, and flooring. The drywall scale measures moisture from 0.2% to 50%. A comparative reference scale reads from 0 to 100 and is used in nonwood materials such as concrete, insulation, and roofing. Detector accumulates up to 100 readings and gives you an average.
